High-Cost Drug Program
Rescription’s Flagship program significantly lowers both member and plan costs on the high cost drugs that are driving up pharmacy benefit plan costs.
Our Care Guide Team will reach out to assist you in achieving full program savings. They will walk you through each step of the process and be your advocates throughout.
Some members on these high-cost medications will participate in a short call with a pharmacist.
$0 copay to members of this program. Only the HDHP members will need to first meet their deductible.
There is no action to take at this time! Rescription will contact you if a medication you are taking is part of this program.
Our two High Cost Drug Program pharmacies are located in Louisiana and Vancouver, BC.
Continuation of Therapy
These transition programs are aimed at easing the transition for Wagner members. Our system will look back 108 days prior to April 1, 2026 and determine if members were utilizing a medication previously. If we find that drug in the member’s history, then these continuation of therapy programs will be in place.
Members will receive letters during this initial 90-day period informing them of the upcoming change, allowing members time to visit with a physician on best treatment options moving forward.
Formulary Exclusions
Allows members up to 90 days to transition to a covered formulary alternative.
Prior Authorizations
Members have up to 90 days to obtain a Prior Authorization or transition to another alternative medication.
Formulary Tier
For the first 90 days of the program, members will continue to pay the same copays (after any deductibles are met) in 2026 as they did in 2025.
